Our Story

In the heart of Africa, where vibrant cultures and stunning landscapes meet, a harsh reality exists that often goes unseen. Thousands of homeless and disadvantaged children, elderly, and disabled men and women struggle to survive each day without access to the necessities of life. This is where Friends of the Homeless Organization comes in – a beacon of hope dedicated to providing food, medical support, shelter, and psychological support to those who need it most.

Friends of the Homeless Organization was born on 18 October 2016 out of a desire to make a difference in the lives of our society's most vulnerable members. We began as a small, volunteer-led community-based organization (CBO), serving meals to homeless individuals in a local park. Today, we have grown into a sizeable group with a team of dedicated staff, volunteers, and partners who share our vision of an Africa where everyone has a safe place to call home.
